The team is one of the older charters in the National Football League. In 1930
the franchise was formerly known as Portsmouth Spartans but it was renamed to
Detroit Lions because they move to Detroit in 1934.
Detroit Lions are the professional American team from Detroit, Michigan. For the
National Football Conference they are the member from Northern Division in
National Football League.
Since the launching of the team in 1930 the uniform has chiefly remained same.
The basic design is of silver helmet and pant with blue or white jersey. The
logo has also been identical except little changes during all the years. Logo is
simple and neat that has a soaring lion in full blue color. Helmet has logo on
it and a blue strip in the middle of the helmet.
